| Patient condition: not breathing and no heart beat Equipment needed: Ambu-Bag, Oxygen tubing, Oxygen tank, Oral Airway Action: Establish Airway, plug oxygen tubing into Ambu-Bag and into oxygen tank set litter flow regulator to it's highest flow position. Deliver breaths slowly and calmly. Cautions: A breath that is excessive in force or volume is more likely to enter the stomach in volume and not the lungs, causing gastric distention and vomiting which can lead to aspiration. |
