| Patient condition: Is breathing and has a heart beat but has great difficulty breathing Equipment needed: Oxygen cannula, Oxygen tank Action: Plug oxygen cannula into oxygen tank set liter flow regulator between 1-2 lpm flow position. Cautions: Do not deliver more than "2" lpm unless the patient is already in severe respiratory distress...then use an oxygen mask at 10-15 lpm. |
