| Patient condition: Is breathing and has a heart beat, however the patient is experiencing chest pain radiating down the left arm, could also be right arm, jaw, back and or neck, sweating profusely, turning grey or ashen, having great difficulty breathing [shortness of breath] Equipment needed: Oxygen Mask, Oxygen tank Action: Plug oxygen mask into oxygen tank set liter flow regulator between 10-15 lpm flow position. Watch the oxygen mask for fogging, if it begins to fog up, turn the liter flow up until the mask no longer is fogging. Cautions: This patient may go into cardiac arrest at any moment. Angina symptoms and heart attack symptoms are the same |
